Survey Spotter review

Survey Spotter Review Summary

Product Name: Survey Spotter

Price: Free

Best for: People who wish to use their free time to make some pocket money.

man in doubt

Summary: Survey Spotter is a survey platform which gets commission whenever they get you to join their survey panels. There is no real benefit in joining them as opposed to signing up to a survey panel directly. Making money with surveys is definitely not a good way to make a stable income and making £300/month is not feasible.

Rating: 1/5

Recommended: NO!

There are so many survey sites around, that it is hard to identify the ones that are worth joining.

In this Survey Spotter Review, I want to share my honest opinion about this site, so that by the end of this article you will be able to make an informed decision on whether to join or not 🙂

Personally, I find survey sites a waste of time. Yes, you can make some money but each survey takes a while to be completed and you literally get paid peanuts.

Making a decent amount of money with surveys entails working longer than you would with a full-time job, yet you would still be earning way less!

Before you go any further with this article, I recommend you read this How to Make Money Online Legitimately post instead. People have even made 6 figures a year with this method and it is much more rewarding than completing surveys 🙂

What is Survey Spotter?

Survey Spotter is not a survey site itself, in the sense that they do not provide their own surveys.

What they do is offering a single platform through which you sign up to several survey panels.

This means that when you sign up to Survey Spotter, you actually agree to send your data to various survey sites such as Opinion Outpost and Inbox Pounds.

The platform is run by Allgroove Limited, a company based in London which has been active since 2003.

The service is free and there are no hidden fees.

Are there any benefits to joining Survey Spotter as opposed to joining the 3rd party survey sites directly?

Not really.

Survey Spotter claims to be able to secure the best deals for you and while I cannot say for certain whether this is true or not, the main reason why these survey sites aggregators exist is so that they can earn commission for each survey companies you join via their link.

All of your earnings won’t come from Survey Spotter, but from each survey site, so you are definitely better off doing your research and join whatever survey panel you wish to join independently.

How do you join Survey Spotter?

  1. Sign up through their online form, entering details such as name, email address and date of birth
  2. Choose the survey sites you wish to join
  3. Enter your postcode
  4. Check your inbox for an email from each survey site you have joined via Survey Spotter and confirm subscription
  5. Start taking surveys

Here is the list of survey sites you can join via Survey Spotter:

  1. InboxPounds
  2. Toluna
  3. Maximiles
  4. Opinion Outpost
  5. LifePoints
  6. Swagbucks
  7. Pureprofile
  8. GFK
  9. 20Cogs
  10. Vindale Research

The good thing about Survey Spotter is that they only match you with well-known and reputable survey panels!

You will be given the option to join them all or just select a few.

Can you really make £300/month?

Survey Spotter earnings claim

Making money by completing surveys might sound easy, however it is not…

There are surveys that take 5 minutes to complete but others that can even take 20 minutes.

The thing is that you will rarely find surveys that pay more than a few pennies, meaning that you could end up working 8 hours a day to earn £5. That is not even the equivalent to 1 hour pay under the minimum wage in the UK!

What’s even worse with Survey Spotter is that they try to convince you to join all of their survey panels, but this benefits them more than you, because they get commission.

However, you will just end up having to deal with completing surveys from different panels that have their own rules, rates, payment methods and so on.

Making £300/month is not feasible, unless you spend 12-15 hours a day doing surveys, but even then it is hard to tell, since you will never know what type of survey you will be offered each day.

Is it worth joining Survey Spotter?

No, joining Survey Spotter is not worth the effort.

If you really love doing surveys, then I recommend you research the best survey sites and join one or two panels directly, but no more than two.

However, as I have already mentioned, I do want to stress how difficult it is to make a stable income by just completing surveys.

There many other ways to make money online, which are much more profitable than completing surveys.

  1. This is a great review on survey spotter. I have seen this platform before and like you I knew its something I can’t do because generally, I don’t like surveys. You don’t make much from it and most times, after answering so many questions, you are told that you don’t qualify. Overall, this is a great review and I’ll be sure to share the post too. Great one.

    1. Hi Henderson,

      Thank you for your comment.

Aside from all the cons of online surveys, I find them really boring too! lol

Also, the idea of sending my data around just like that really scares me!

Thank you again for stopping by Survey Spotter review 🙂

  2. I agree with you completely.

I also find survey sites a waste of time. You get so far and then you’re either disqualified, leaving you with wasted time and no income OR you get to the end where you are then asked to sign up with another company in order to get the money due to you.

If you don’t want to sign up with this new company, you don’t get the money.

In my experience, survey sites are the best way to get your email earmarked as a spam inbox. Goodness, my spam filter has never worked so hard since that period of survey taking I was in.

    1. Thank you for mentioning about being disqualified. I have omitted that from this review and the article itself is about Opinion City which is a site aggregator, so being disqualified comes from the actual survey panels 🙂

Imagine putting in so much work and then being rejected like that… urgh… you are better off with your own online business!

  3. Hello Cristina, just like you, I think survey sites sucks too generally. Mind you, I did surveys some years back when I just joined the making money online niche. However, I just felt like I wasn’t making enough to even complement the time I was spending on completing the surveys. This survey spotter seems very nice but I’m not sure I want to get myself involved with it. The pay isn’t worth it and besides, the claims of 300$ is ridiculous because the totality of the amount I made over the course of 6months taking surveys didn’t even amount to that amount. Thanks

    1. True story… These claims are just beyond ridiculous as it is impossible to make such amount of money without basically spending day and night completing online surveys.

I am glad you tried them and decided to stay away. The internet can be used in a much better way to make money online 🙂

      Cristina
