Product Name: Opinion City

Best for: People who want to earn a few dollars and don't want to spend time finding independent survey panels directly.

man in doubt

Summary: Opinion City is an aggregator site that connects you with various survey panels. Completing surveys is not a good way to make a stable income, in fact no survey site will ever allow you make more than a few dollars a day. Doing surveys takes time and I believe that time can be invested in more profitable ways to make money online.

Is Opinion City a scam and if not, is it worth joining?

This is what I am going to reveal in this Opinion City Review.

There are so many "make money online" opportunities out there and paid surveys are probably the most popular.

Opinion City claims to help you earn $500/week. As someone who has already looked into and reviewed other paid survey sites, I can tell you that $500/week is absolutely NOT something you can achieve with paid surveys.

However, there are other "make money online" methods that can help you make a full-time income and even allow you to make money while you sleep 🙂

If this appeals to you more than completing several surveys a day for just a few cents, then head to this How to Make Money Online Legitimately article to learn more.

What is Opinion City?

Opinion City is a survey aggregator site.

What is a survey aggregator though?

It is some sort of “container” site that connects you to various survey panels. Usually, you sign up via these aggregators and they automatically sign up to multiple survey sites of your choice.

When you sign up to these survey sites via the aggregator’s links, the aggregator gets commission. There is nothing wrong with that. Many websites do it to make a living (I do it too), but some just get you to sign up to anything for the sake of making money.

What is really worrying about Opinion City is that there are no details of this company anywhere.

Their Terms and Conditions page shows this address “411 Walnut Street PMB 7603, Green Cove Springs, FL 32043“, which is actually a mailing forwarding service address, rather than the actual address of Opinion City.

There isn’t even an “About” page to show who is behind the site.

There is no real way to check if this is a reputable company, so it is hard to know where your data ends up when you sign up.

How does Opinion City work and how do you sign up?

When you first land on the home page, you are presented with three tabs:

  1. Highly Recommended
  2. Paid Surveys
  3. Bonus Surveys

In order to sign up, you can either click on “Paid Surveys” or “Bonus Surveys“.

Once clicked, you will be presented with the “Sign up” pop-up:

Enter your details and click on “Submit”.

Once you have signed up, you will be presented with a series of bonus surveys, freebies and coupons:

The image above clearly shows that for each survey presented to you by Opinion City, you will have to go through another sign up process for every survey panel such as Panda Research, MakeSurveyMoney, Vindale Research and so on.

Is Opinion City a scam or legit?

Opinion City is not a scam as there is nothing suspicious in what they do.

However, when you sign up through them, you give your personal data away with no particular benefit to you, since in order to complete surveys you will have to sign up to the various survey panels anyway.

The aim of Opinion City is to make commission from each sign up they get from you, so you don’t really gain anything from joining this aggregator site, but neither do you lose anything, except for having your name, surname and email address in their database.

It looks like you can easily remove your details by clicking on “Unsubscribe” at the bottom of their website:

Opinion City unsubscribe

Their platform is not even the best to navigate, in fact once you have closed your browser, you won’t even be able to sign back in with your existing account as the Opinion City website does not have a login feature.

This means that the next time you want to access Opinion City, you will either have to use a new email address or first remove from their database the one you previously used and then sign up again.

The process makes it even less worth using this aggregator site, so I personally recommend you do your research and join a couple of survey sites directly instead.

Can you really make money with Opinion City?

Making money by completing surveys is not as easy as it sounds.

Surveys usually take between 5 to 20 minutes to complete and those that last 5 minutes usually pay you just a few cents.

I have previously talked about another survey aggregator site called Survey Spotter and mentioned how important it is to understand that surveys can take a lot of your time away and only allow you to make pocket money.

Spending 8 hours a day doing surveys would normally allow you to make $5-$8 dollars… That is for 8 hours of work!

I honestly advise you to leave paid surveys alone and invest your time into something that can make you at least $1000+/month, while keeping you sane!

It is totally achievable. You just have to understand how to do it right and be willing to put in some effort.

A better way to make money online

There are several ways to make money online. Here are a few examples:

My favourite method is Affiliate Marketing as it requires no upfront cost and you can literally blog about anything.

This means that you can make money by talking about things you are passionate about 🙂

How do you make money blogging?

Well, these are the basic principles:

  1. Choose a Niche
  2. Build a website (no coding skills required)
  3. Write blog posts, including affiliate links
  4. Earn commission

Building a website does not have to be expensive, in fact you can do it for FREE.

You can also learn the basics of Affiliate Marketing step-by-step for FREE.

Although there are many resources on the internet, I personally think that if you are new to Affiliate Marketing, you will need to follow some sort of structure first, rather than reading scattered information on the internet.

This is why I thoroughly recommend you go to How to Make Money Online Legitimately and take advantage of the FREE training + FREE website offer.

Go get the life that you deserve! 🙂

I hope you enjoyed reading this Opinion City Review.

  1. Ugh, I hate surveys. And what’s annoying is when you’re really desperate to make some fast money and you Google ways to get it, you always get directed to a certain survey site. If you’re desperate enough (like I’ve been once or twice in my life), you’d try almost anything.

I’ve yet to make money answering surveys if I’m honest.

I either get shut down during the qualification process or I never make enough to be able to cash out.

Thanks for this review. Definitely staying away!

    1. So true! Surveys are always the first thing to come up and I wish there was more awareness of things such as affiliate marketing instead…

Sorry to hear you have gone through tough times and I hope things are better now for you 🙂

Thank you for stopping by my Opinion City review!

  2. Honestly, I’m really sick of survey websites that claim you can make so much money per week. I say this as someone who actually tried surveys and never made a cent. I did earn some money, but it was a lot of hard work and I couldn’t actually get any (they were only in my balance because I had to reach a certain about before I could withdraw any, which didn’t happen). Also, I personally don’t know any person who made more than $200 with surveys, and that was after a lot of work. So even though I haven’t tried Opinion City itself, I have tried similar websites and I would never recommend those. Better start your own business and work for free for a couple of months, just to start making actual money after several months, sometimes even when you sleep.

    1. Hi Ashley,

Glad you decide to leave paid surveys alone… Sometimes you have got to try something, to understand that it is not worth doing…

Surveys are really not a good way to make money and this is the message I am trying to convey in my Opinion City review. The site is not a scam or anything, but these paid survey people really need to stop claiming that you can make so much money with online surveys.

      Thank you for stopping by!

  3. Good afternoon Cristina,

Thank you for your Opinion City Review. It saves me time to have to check them out.

I understand they are an in-between company. Does one really need that? I am aware that doing surveys is really not the best way to make money. Lots of time and very little pay.

From your description. of how Opinion City operates every time you leave their site you have to sign up with a new email address, are they joking?

I definitely will stay away from them.

    Regards, Taetske

    1. Hi Taetske,

      Thank you for reading 🙂

No, really the purpose of these sites is to make commission, hence one is better off just going directly to a survey site.

I guess Opinion City did not put much effort into their site design, as all they care about is making money for themselves…

      Cristina
